What we do
Roof work for a wildfire zone
Six jobs, each one written up on its own lines so you can see what a vent costs apart from a roof.
Class A re-roof
Tear-off to the deck, underlayment, a Class A covering and metal edge details.
Class A roofsEmber-vent retrofit
Every attic, gable and eave vent counted, then replaced or screened with metal mesh.
Ember ventsEnclosed eaves and soffits
Open eaves closed in so heat and embers can't collect under the roof edge.
Gutters and edges
Metal gutters, guards where they suit the roof, and a cleared edge before fire season.
Repairs
Flashing, valleys, lifted tile and the vent that went missing. Repair, or replace, in writing.
RepairsRe-roof before solar
A new roof first, then panels. We work around your solar installer's schedule.
Solar
Roof first, panels second
Panels last longer than a worn roof under them. If your roof is near the end, it's cheaper to re-roof before the panels go on than to lift them later.
We don't install panels. Your solar installer removes and re-sets them, and we plan the roof job between their two visits so the roof is never open overnight with panels off.
A written schedule with your installer's dates beside ours
Mounts re-flashed on the new roof, not reused through old holes
Estimates list solar removal and reset as not included

Before you choose a job
Which job do I need?
It depends on what the inspection finds. A sound roof with open vents may need only vents; a roof at the end of its life needs the covering too. The written findings say which, and why.
Can you do just the vents?
Yes. Many houses need only the vents and eaves, and the estimate shows them on their own lines.
Do you do metal and tile roofs?
Yes, both, along with asphalt shingles. Each is Class A, and the estimate prices them side by side.
Do you work on commercial buildings?
No. We roof houses.
Start with a roof and vent inspection
A crew lead photographs the vents, eaves and edges and writes down what he finds.
